Challenge Details:

If you’re anything like us, you’ve been glued to the TV the past month watching the 2020/2021 Olympic Games in Tokyo. In the spirit of a little friendly competition, we felt the Olympics would be the perfect theme for this month’s contest. Below, you will find a dataset, created by Arjun Prasad Sarkhel, that contains data on athletes, teams, medal counts, and more.

Download the Olympic dataset here.

How to Play:

  • Using only this dataset, create a single page report using the Numerro Toolkit; there are no rules on which data points you use. Tell the story that interests you the most!
  • You must use Numerro components and apply either a Numerro theme or a custom theme.
  • Email a PBIX file no later than September 8th, 2021 at 12PM MST. Please name your file Lastname_Firstname.pbix and send to contact@numerro.io.

How to Win:

  • Unleash your creativity, have fun, and deliver something unique.
  • Understand the data and apply design best practices to your report.
  • The reports will be judged on creativity and design principles. The winning solution will be simple, concise, consistent and unique.

Best of luck! Even if you don't win, hopefully you had fun, learned something new, and your report may still be featured by us on social media!
